Powerlifting Experience Friday
I got up early and went for a run. Right around 2 miles or so. I'm feeling much better physically. Now, I just need to get my diet in order. I just started back to eating right today.
I then headed out to the compound. Marshall and I had check in duty for the attendees as well as an interview together. We spent most of the afternoon helping people get rack heights and explaining normal meet weigh in and check in procedures. The guys began to come in throughout the afternoon. Marshall and I di our interview together. I won't spoil the topic, but I think it was a pretty good one.
The interview was delayed numerous times. We shot it in the back of the warehouse. All the lights were off and doors closed. Except for the 4 big spotlights on Marshall and I. It got hot real quick. The interview was delayed for a passing train and the UPS guy showing up for his afternoon pick up.
Everyone has heard of personal space. I've heard it say that personal space is proportionate to your size. Well, Marshall is no small guy and I used to be a pretty big guy. We were sitting with our legs touching. I'm pretty sure I was violating every bit of Marshall's personal space. Being me, I did everything I could to make him feel as UNcomfortable as possible. I was enjoying myself, but I don't think Marshall was.
We then had a brief team meeting to cover the next days event. Following that it was time for the guys and gals on the team to train. My role is to help coach, so I did. Wrapped knees and such. I tried to get Casey Williams (my hard headed adopted son) to go easy the week after his meet. he was having none of that.
We then had a Team pizza dinner. The guys got to hang out and catch up with everyone. This is always the fun time.
Well, after pizza we went looking for dessert at Bob Evans. It was Casey, Marshall, and Chad Aichs. With that group, dessert turned into another full meal. But, we had fun hanging out. After this, it was off to bed as we had to be up very early the next day.
