Conditioning - 4 Weeks Out Nationals/6 Weeks Out England
I am currently training for The 2014 North American Strongman (NAS) National Championship as well as the Strongman Champions League (SCL) England u90kg. NAS Nationals will be held Oct. 4th & 5th in Reno, NV and the Strongman Champions League will be held Oct. 18th in Southampton, England. I'm also adjusting to raising a new baby boy while still working, training and living life.
I've actually been doing conditioning on Sundays the past few weekends, but for some reason didn't think to post it in my log. A few weeks back my conditioning wasn't quite where I wanted it on my event medleys. This combined with the fact that Reno is much higher in elevation than we are here in Kentucky made me realize I needed to bring it up. Last time I competed in Reno I could tell a big difference in the amount of oxygen in the air and was gassed after the first event on day 1 and took forever to recover. So I've added in a day to bring it up. After a couple of weeks it's improved and I'm happy where it's at.
Prowler Sprints x 40s Work:90s Rest x 5 rounds, followed by:
40# Weighted vest walk x 20 minutes.
