Axle, Yoke, Keg Carry & Load - w/Video - 2 Weeks Out Nationals/4 Weeks Out England

I am currently training for The 2014 North American Strongman (NAS) National Championship as well as the Strongman Champions League (SCL) England u90kg. NAS Nationals will be held Oct. 4th & 5th in Reno, NV and the Strongman Champions League will be held Oct. 18th in Southampton, England. I'm also adjusting to raising a new baby boy while still working, training and living life.

Training went great yesterday. I'm still battling this cold, but I think it's clearing up a bit. My axle work felt great and I'm just hitting my prescribe numbers on my peaking phase. Everything felt smooth and strong on these. I was very happy with my yoke runs as I had two PRs. I also had a nice time PR on the keg carry & load medley. Everything is feeling really solid at the moment. I've just got a few more training days left before the rest and recovery time starts. There is no doubt that going into Nationals I'm at my best ever. I'm stronger, faster and more conditioned than I have been for any contest. My bodyweight is 207 at the moment so it'll be a nice easy cut to make the 200.4 weigh cutoff.

I'm ready.
