11 days out from my second strongman competition that will qualify me for Nationals
Sorry for posting trainings the day after. Usually when I get home, first thing I do is study. Then, I start editing and writing out my logs. So that probably also explains why I post at 1 in the morning. It's called team no sleep. I'll try to get out of that habit.
Did 65% of 205 lb competition weight (about 135 lbs so you don't have to do the math)with thick orange bands on a high box.
Completed 25 reps in one minute to replicate the tire squat event. Since there is constant tension, I wanted to focus on explosiveness and form.
KB Swings (50 lbs)
3 x 12
Band hamstring curls (mini black bands)
3 x 25
Band hip thrusts
3 x 15
Kept it simple and quick. 12 days out (at the time) and I didn't want to do anything heavy/crazy. Main focus for the next 11 days will be on mobility, recovery, and light GPP work.
Did I mention my squat outfit was on point!
