Currently undergoing Chemotherapy to treat systemic Ulcerative Colitis as a last measure.
I got up Wednesday, and it was DEADLIFT DAY!!! My mother in law called and she wanted to come pick up my son and go visit some friends which meant I'd have extra time at the gym. It is also meet week and every day counts with my wife's prep.
Packed my gym bag, all drinks, and had it all ready to get in the car and then life turned. The next several hours was me vomiting everywhere. Toilet, sink, kitchen, myself, etc... I got BAD so fast that I couldn't find my anti-emetic injections, and between SEVERE nausea and vomiting non stop (I literally stopped up the toilet and sinks) the only thing that I could locate was a Phenergan injection. While it will help to stop nausea and vomiting it will make you feel drowsy for a long LONG time. Normally 36 hours for me.
So I hit it...puked several times more, laid on the cold concrete floor and with a fan on me, I finally passed out on the couch. I did manage to send my wife a message to tell her that I was in trouble so she got home just in time to get me to sleep.
I woke up 5 hours later still not able to keep my eyes open without the room spinning and I laid on the couch till bedtime. Then it was Pete and Repeat through the next morning.
I am a blessed man to have my wife. She absolutely can NOT be around vomit or poop and I have no idea how she cleaned up all of my mess all over the house...but the house was spotless by the time I could function again.
At some point in the middle of the night I sent her a message just to say:
Me: I am so sorry. So very sorry. Thank you.
My Wife: "For better or for worse. You have been next to me for many years when I was worse than I was better to you. Now it is my turn. For better or for worse."
