Currently undergoing Chemotherapy to treat Systemic Ulcerative Colitis as a last measure.
I got a couple of new meds this week that we think can help my body handle the chemo. I'm in a tight spot because the meds that I need are in injection form and they bypass the throat, stomach, and only go through the liver once. But they don't have the injections here so I end up with the tablets which eat my body alive even beyond the actual chemotherapy.
Took all my meds (new and old) Friday when I got home from training, again before bed, again when I woke up Saturday morning and then I headed out to the supplement store and the pet shop and back home to eat. Barely made it through my small plate of vegetables, rice, beets, and salmon.
Before I hit the couch I decided to give my dog a bath. Seems he has terrible allergies and him scratching in the bed all night long keeps me awake. I got him some new shampoo which meant I had to carry him up the stairs, me totally cross-eyed and struggling to verbally communicate, and soaked him in the tub for a long time. Toweled off (him and me) and blow dried (mostly him, partly me) we headed back down and I made a direct line for THE COUCH!!!!
All I said about 7 times was "I just want to lay on the couch and take a nap..."
At least they let me...
