Post - UGSS (deload week) dynamic upper

I haven't posted about UGSS yet because well, I want to re-live the experience again when I write it; and I'm just not ready to do that. I have so much to say and I'm kind of getting teary eyed about it. I know, I know: Yessica, why are you being such a big baby about it. You only lifted heavy shit, right? Well, yea, but I don't think you can fathom how I REALLY feel about this past weekend or the people I get to call teammates and iron sisters.

So, let's just go straight to the boring stuff.

If you follow me on social media, you probably saw the numbers I hit (video), as well as the sucky form I had on some of them.

So I'm taking this week to adjust some things I learned over the weekend and lots of mobility work. I feel actually great considering the numbers I hit, but that's what worries's better to be safe than sorry.


1. Straight speed bench 10 x 3

2. Pause presses 5 x 5

Light band work:

Face pulls 4 x 25

Band pushdowns 4 x 25

I went light and trained smart. As far as my form, I tried a variety of them -- what I felt most comfortable with and effective. But given that today is dynamic, benching with light weight can be a breeze; when you have some weight on the bar is when it gets a bit more technical. So I will be posting videos (feel free to critique/comment) on Thursday.
