Interview from Power Athlete™ Radio #90

For the second time this year, I was asked to be a guest on the Power Athlete Radio. The first time I was asked was back in July and I thought it ended up pretty well. You can check the first interview out here:

Power Athlete Radio Episode 62

I have a tremendous amount of respect for the crew at Power Athlete. They do a great job and are all very humble and passionate about helping others. We discussed two of Chris McQuilkin's article and coaching and communication. Really good crew.

It was also awesome that they all promoted the Programs that Work 4 (which was still available during the live show) and the Sports Performance training Summit in which they were in no way obligated and did anyway. Looking forward to seeing Tex and Denny here in February. Thank you to Cali, Luke, Steven Platek. Again, very smart and passionate crew.

one-point-twenty-one-gigga watts!

One of our favorites is back. Mark Watts joins us for the second time to talk about a myriad of coaching topics like the misconceptions that revolve around our traditional definition of "experience". Mark is amazing because he draws from his many years of being around so many levels of athletes and finds value in each stage of his career. We also talk about how to get athletes to buy in to the training, programming, or coaching and why a transactional coach is ineffective compared to a transformational coach. He discusses why strength and conditioning is such fantastic field to be a part of because ultimate subjectivity. This is why he has been known to regularly rank his athletes.

Mark is an all around great guy, endless source of knowledge, and a resource that we will continue to take advantage of for as long as he'll allow. A big thank you to him for indulging us time and time again.
