Training January 15, 2015

I’m still pretty tight but haven’t gotten a chance to schedule an ART session. I don’t really have a good reason as to why but I just haven’t done it. Next week I’ll prioritize it. As for today I headed to a local commercial gym. I hadn’t ever been to this one before but I get a free membership through the apartment complex I’m renting from so I figured I would check it out. Turns out to be pretty decent. They have some decent stuff for accessory work and coming here will be handy when I just need to get in a quick session. Here is what I did….



Warm-ups

Treadmill (5 minutes), foam rolling, stretching, band pull aparts, reverse grip dumbbell press



Barbell bench

Bar for 2 sets 10 reps
135 for 4 sets of 20 reps



Bamboo bar bench press

Suspended a 20kg kettlebell from each side with mini bands
3 sets of 15 reps



Chest supported row machine

Worked up to the stack for a set of 8 reps



Lat pull downs

Worked up to 200 for a set of 8 reps



Reverse pec deck

40 for 3 sets of 15 reps



Horizontal military press

15’s for 3 sets of 12 reps




This place is decent and the equipment is solid. They have some old school stuff and good amount of hammer strength as well.
