it must be great living in manhathan.?
i was there about 6 months ago for a few weeks.
i go there about once about every year and man do i get pissed when i have to leave to go back to ireland.!
I certainly love NYC...not just because it's my home town, but because it's just an awesome city. I think sometimes I forget that since I've spent so much time here. When many people find out that I'm from Manhattan, they're genuinely surprised. I think that they expect kids to have some kind of emotional damage if they grew up without a backyard. Sometimes I tell them that I had it even better;
"Growing up, I used to play with the crackheads who hung out in Central Park at night!"
Somehow, they're not too surprised.
Pardon my American, but I fucking love Ireland. I've been twice when I was much younger, and there's something about it that really left an impression on me. As a kid, I remember saying that I wanted to move there at some point during my adulthood. I'm pretty sure I thought I was going to be a professional magician at that point as well.
While I doubt that either of those things will happen, I'm probably going to be heading there this summer with a few friends.
Besides the castles, the Cliffs of Moher, and awesome people, one of my favorite things were the "99's". I'm not sure if they still have them, but for those who don't know...they consist of the best vanilla ice cream you've ever had with a Cadbury Flake bar stuck in it.
I will return...
