For the last 4 weeks, I'm stepping away from the typical 5/3/1 tempate. I'll be backing off a bit, especially in the deadlift. I worked up to 90% of 585lb and it felt quite fast.

Something to keep in mind is that this is being done fresh and not after squatting and benching. One of the nice things about the Sheiko-style "Skills Evaluations" where everything is tested on the same day, is that it gives you a realistic sense of what to expect after you've already done the other two lifts first.

Lower right side of my back didn't feel great on the lighter sets of good mornings, but actually felt better as I went up in weight. I didn't have the bar in the perfect starting position for the deadlift, so my hips came up a little quickly. I think this is also just part of the change in technique from moving to medium to heavy weights.




Lower back is going to be sore tomorrow,
